The pomegranate commonly called Anaar and it is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub that grows between 5 and 10 m tall. Its skin is not edible, its has 100 of juicy seeds.

Its is best to plant in spring or fall in warm place. Its need plenty of sun to produce fruits. Look that area to plant them where at least 6 hours of direct sunlight.

Its perform best in loamy soils but will still grow quit well. Good drainage is crucial for pomegranate trees, but they tolerate almost any soil, even its poor or alkaline soil in sandy and clay soil. Trees are tolerant of moderately acid to slightly alkaline soil and grow best in a soil PH range 5.5 to 7.2. Though pomegranate can tolerate short period of standing water.

Pomegranate trees are surprisingly well suited to grow indoors. Unlike many other fruit trees they have shallow root which are good for container growing.

The pomegranate grow to a height 12 to 20 feet and spread also 12 to 20 feet at maturity level.

They are fairly drought tolerant, making pomegranate well suited for mild desert climate. It may take 3 to 5 years for your new plant to fruits.
