Jacaranda mimosifolia commonly called blue jacaranda. This tree is an open spot with sandy soil and full sun. They are an elegant tree with a relatively short trunk and a broad, spreading canopy. its not unusual to see a jacaranda wider than it is tall. Jacaranda will more often grow to less than 8m tall, although it can reach 12 to 15m under ideal conditions, taking 20 plus years to do so.

They like sandy soil with good drainage system and show of there lavender blooms best when planted in full sun. They grow relatively fast and will get up to 18m and just as wide. The spreading branches may fill your entire front yard.

For the best blooming, plant your jacaranda tree in full sun where it received at least 6 to 8 hours of sun full day. Smaller tree can tolerate light shade if necessary but lack of optimum sunlight can impact the amount and vibrancy of there blooms.
