To grow portulca you need to trim growing branches. Trim 3 to 4 inches stem using a sharp gardening knife. using gardening gloves is always recommended while dealing with the thorns, sharp tools. The best time for pruning portulca is the end of may.
How can you keep a Portulaca blooming.
Its is a succulent plant it prefer more dry side. If you keep it damp it discourages it from flowering. As long as you plant them in a sunny location and cultivate the proper soil conditions, caring the plants is no issue. Portulca roses grow very fast and will often form a mat growth within there first season.
