The aroma from their vibrant blooms floating through a summer evening. Plumeria needs 6 to 8 hours sunlight.

A plumeria tree required full sun or partial shade area for garden. They are not toleration cold weather. So plant your plumeria in a pot which has drainage hole so that it can be bring potted plant indoors during cold winter basically you can shift your plumeria plant outdoor and indoor according to the seasons. Plumeria rubra is the best to grow indoor.

The temperature should be 50 degree or higher, avoid early spring rain unless soil is dry. place plants outside during summer in full or partial sun when evening temperature stay above 45 to 50 degrees. Three to 4 inch leaves appear in June or July.

There are 2 types of plumeria
1- Plumeria alba
2- Plumeria rubra

The plumeria alba is white plumeria that grows 24 to 36 inches per year.
the plumeria rubra is pink plumeria which grows 12 to 24 inches per year.

How long plumeria tree take to bloom?

It can grow from cutting and take 1 to 3 year to bloom. On the other hand plumeria which grows from seeds can take flowering 3 years while they planted.

How many times a plumeria can bloom in a year?

A plumeria usually start blooming in early summer which goes to early fall. When it comes to flower lasting once they bloom, flower clusters typically last for almost a week.

Plumeria needs 5 hours sunlight in a day so that keep soil moist during the summer but water sparingly during the winter. plumeria should water deeply and just make sure the soil is dry before watering it again.
